's no date set for the next public protection committee hearing yet. live in oakland, allie rasmus, ktvu channel 2 news. >> thank you, alley. >>> this morning, a young man in oakland was hospitalized in serious condition after he had been shot several times. the shooting took place just after 9:00 a.m. at east 31st street and 13th avenue. that's one block from highland hospital. police say the victim was shot multiple times and a witness told us it looked like he was injured in the leg e says someone drove the injured plan to the hospital and that he saw what was likely the gunman running from the scene. police say they have not yet determined a motive for the shooting. >>> a man is under arrest in connection with the kidnapping and assault of a 16-year-old autistic girl from oakland. she was taken last tuesday after leaving the fred finch youth center in oakland. staff members say they followed her for several blocks to the fruitvale b.a.r.t. station where they lost site of her. she was found two days later on a muni bus in san francisco. family members say she was badly beaten and sexu

in a row. for areas where you can pick up free sandbags. go to ktvu.com. >>> a car pile up left one car on top of another. it happened just before 3:30 in the northbound lanes at the capital expressway off ramp. it's not clear if the crash was weather related but the road was wet at the time. one person suffered minor injuries. >>> your friday morning commute could be bad or really bad depending on the speed and timing of this storm. amber lee is live now in marin county where she's been asking road crews what they've been doing to prevent problems on the roadway. >> reporter: it's quite windy out here. we're by the lucky drive expressway. an area that likely gets flooded with the storms. we spoke to a tow truck driver who says he expects the calls to double with the heavy rain. >> with the heavy wind we've been having, the water tends to back up a little bit -- a little bit more. >> reporter: as soon as it started driving, moore started responding. his company is hired by chp to move stalled vehicles as quickly as possible. >> i expect tomorrow morning to be pretty busy. >> reporter:

, there could be some heavy totals to the north and here is more on the ktvu channel 2 morning news. >>> good morning to you, it is thursday november 29th, i am dave clark. >>> we have a little bit of a break, windy and mild and all because of that strong southeast wind and it looks to be an impressive system up on the north coast and has a ways to go before it gets here. there is already rain in mendocino county and you don't have to worry about your morning commute because it is going to be windy, here is tara. >>> this is a look at highway 24, you can see we are getting some congestion as the folks are going towards the caldecott tunnel this morning. we have a high wind advisory up in the bay bridge, traffic 101 is headed very nicely, let's go back to the desk. >>> we are following developing news out of palo alto where police are searching for a man who reportedly entered a young woman's apartment early this morning. jeanine della vega is talking about a very frightening experience, jeanine? >> reporter: police have this area blocked off, that is downtown palo alto and they are inside inv

for this growhouse. janine de la vega, ktvu channel 2 news. >>> and to the latest on san francisco muni. it's back up and running after a transformer problem shut down everything for hours. ktvu aalex savidge live at the -- ktvu's alex savidge is live at the van ness station. what do you know? >> reporter: well, right here on market street, i did an interview with the mta spokesperson, he came out here and updated the situation. he says computers who use subway systems can expect a smooth right. all of the issues has been resolved. he tells me all of their trains are running on their regular schedules. let me show you the scene inside the van ness station. all of the trains again moving this morning. there was a shutdown, though, last night. it was about 6:00 when the entire subway system stopped because of a blown transformer at the van ness station. crews had to work throughout the night to fix the problem. and then finally at 1:30 this morning, they had everybody up and running again. with all of the subways out of service. you can imagine it was a major hassle for tens of thousands of commuters.
